America's Cracker Barrel  is  a  Forum of,  by and for grown-ups who  love America and are genuinely concerned about the many problems facing contemporary America.

On the other hand, most social media platforms, are basically gossip, hearsay and  misinformation (or more descriptively, propaganda) sites that cater to a generally minimally-informed populace.  

These websites deploy celebrity media talking heads, race baiters, political activists, "influencers" and armies of unhappy whiners whose demeanor implies some kind of authoritative expertise to sell their agenda; when in fact most don't have the foggiest idea of what they're talking about and fraudulently present their (mostly groupthink) opinion as fact. 

I learned a long time ago that there's a HUGE difference between an in-depth knowledge, and a superficial knowledge, of a subject.

The reality is that there are only a handful of true experts in any field.  It takes many years of dedicated effort to thoroughly study and understand something.  Authoritative experts with in-depth knowledge of a subject speak with numbers and critical proof.

In contrast, most people are not dedicated, or smart, enough to put in the effort needed to acquire true in-depth knowledge,  You can read about most thngs in a few minutes.  Superficial people speak in broad generalities infused with meaningless cliches!

The superficials don't care about YOUR genuine concerns.  They want YOU to talk about THEIR babble to keep you riled up and distracted from discussing important issues.

Keep this in mind when you struggle through their rants and declamation!
